Regular Season Round 9: Cholet - Gravelines 64-76

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (7-2) beat on the road 15th ranked Cholet Basket (2-6) 76-64 on Monday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-64. Gravelines-Dunkerque made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). His fellow American import Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 11 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Mississippi) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (183-87, college: Wisconsin) added 12 points in the effort for Cholet Basket. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Gravelines-Dunkerque. They maintain second place with 7-2 record having just -1 point less than leader ASVEL. Cholet Basket lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with six games lost. Gravelines-Dunkerque will face Paris-Levallois (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cholet Basket will play against JDA Dijon and hope to win that game.
