Regular Season Round 7: TTU - Tarvas 59-89
Date: November 23, 2015
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tallinn where 7th ranked TTU (2-6) was crushed by eighth ranked BC Rakvere (2-4) 89-59 on Monday. The game without a history. BC Rakvere led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to TTU's 20. TTU was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward David Haughton (198-91, college: Purchase) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Latvian Roberts Stumbris (194-93) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. International point guard Rait-Riivo Laane (179-93) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Rakvere moved-up to seventh place. Loser TTU dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. BC Rakvere will face bottom-ranked Audentese/N. (#9) in Tallinn in the next round. TTU will play on the road against the league's second-placed TU/Rock having rather not much hope for a victory.
