Regular Season Round 2: Al Sadd - Al Wakrah 86-59

Very expected game when Al Wakrah (0-2) was smashed by Al Sadd (2-0) in Doha 86-59. The game without a history. Al Sadd led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. International swingman Saad Abdulrahman Ali (193-85) scored 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international swingman Khalid Abdi (198-87) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Al Sadd players scored in double figures. Coach Zoran Kreckovic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Ghanian Amu Saaka (198-88, college: Furman, agency: Court Side) responded with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Mame Souleye (206-87) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Al Sadd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Gharafa.
