An interesting game took place in Ramat Gan where higher ranked Elitzur Yavne (4-3) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (3-4) 113-97 on Tuesday. Ironi Ramat Gan made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Elitzur Yavne turnovers. At the losing side American Chris Gaston (201-89, college: Fordham) responded with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward J'Nathan Bullock (196-87, college: Cleveland St.) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ironi Ramat Gan moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Elitzur Ashkelon. Elitzur Yavne lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with three games lost. Ironi Ramat Gan will face Hasharon (#11) in Hod Hasharon in the next round. Elitzur Yavne will play at home against the league's leader Hapoel Afula (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
