Regular Season Round 7: Hapoel B/S - Maccabi H/H 88-87

Ninth-ranked Hasharon (2-5) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Hapoel B/S (6-1) in Beer Sheva. Hapoel B/S managed to secure only one-point victory 88-87. However their fans expected much easier game. Hapoel B/S dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hasharon's 32. 24 personal fouls committed by Hasharon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Isaiah Sykes (198-91, college: Cent.Florida, agency: CGL Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds and forward Rodney Alexander (201-87, college: Oklahoma City) added 27 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hasharon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel B/S have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ironi K-A. Hasharon at the other side keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Hapoel B/S's next round opponent will be Maccabi Raanana (#5) on the road. Hasharon will play against Ironi Ramat Gan (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
