Regular Season Round 2: Al Khor - Qatar 81-74

Al Khor used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Doha 81-74. It looked good early as Qatar Sports Club took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Al Khor had a 28-13 second period charge getting the lead and Qatar Sports Club was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-81. Al Khor made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Qatar Sports Club turnovers. Ivorian-American swingman Charles Abouo (197-89, college: BYU, agency: Dynamics Global Management) had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) chipped in 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest. American power forward Malcolm White (205-88, college: LSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 25 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import swingman Rashad Woods (197-86, college: Kent St.) scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. Al Khor will play against Al Shamal (#6) in Doha in the next round. Qatar Sports Club will have a break next round.
