Regular Season Round 21: San Lorenzo - Lanus 96-83
Date: November 27, 2015
Very expected game in Almagra where 9th ranked Lanus (4-13) was defeated by second ranked CASLA (12-5) 96-83 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by CASLA. Lanus was better in second period 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international forward Walter Herrmann (206-79) stepped up and scored 22 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners and international guard Nicolas Aguirre (188-88) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) with 18 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the other American import forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA, agency: Interperformances) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five CASLA and four Lanus players scored in double figures. Lanus' coach German Intonio rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CASLA keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Olimpico LB. Lanus lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the ninth place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
