Regular Season Round 10: Antibes - Nancy 93-77

There was no surprise when 17th ranked Sluc Nancy (1-8) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Olympique Antibes (6-4) 93-77. The game was mostly controlled by Olympique Antibes. Sluc Nancy was better in fourth quarter 30-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olympique Antibes shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a very good performance for American point guard Willie Solomon (187-78, college: Clemson, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Paul Carter (205-87, college: Ill.-Chicago) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Olympique Antibes players scored in double figures. Olympique Antibes' coach Julien Espinosa used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 23 points and the former international Florent Pietrus (202-81) added 7 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Sluc Nancy. Olympique Antibes moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Chalon. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the seventeenth position with eight games lost. Olympique Antibes' next round opponent will be Limoges CSP Elite (#12) at home where they are favorite. Sluc Nancy will play against SPO Rouen (#14) and hope to win that game.
