There was no surprise when 10th ranked KTP-Basket (1-10) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (5-6) 88-82. KTP-Basket was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 53-45 second half run of Lapuan Korikobrat. KTP-Basket was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. It was a very good performance for guard Lamont Jones (183-90, college: Iona, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 assists. Guard Darien Brothers (190-91, college: Richmond) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Lamb Autrey (190-89, college: St.Mary's, TX, agency: Two Points) answered with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and center Alex Herrera (206-92, college: Fort Lewis, agency: Two Points) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for KTP-Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lapuan Korikobrat moved-up to seventh place. KTP-Basket lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Lapuan Korikobrat will play against Salon Vilpas (#8) on the road in the next round. KTP-Basket will play against Helsinki Seagulls to get more than just one victory in their record.
