The game between eleventh ranked Beijing Ducks (6-4) and 19th ranked TianJin Steel (1-9) in Beijing on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Beijing Ducks outscored guests from Tianjin 127-92. The game without a history. Beijing Ducks led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Beijing Ducks outrebounded TianJin Steel 50-30 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 65.5 percentage. Beijing Ducks looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds. The former international point guard Qingpeng Zhang (187-81) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American guard Jordan Crawford (193-88, college: Xavier) replied with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import forward Jason Maxiell (201-83, college: Cincinnati) added 23 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for TianJin Steel. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Shandong FB and Zhejiang CB. TianJin Steel lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with nine games lost. Beijing Ducks will face Shanxi Zhongyu (#13) in Taiyuan in the next round where they are favorite. TianJin Steel will play on the road against Liaoning Hunters (#5) in Yingkou and hope to win that game.
