Regular Season Round 10: Naron - Leon 96-76

Date: November 28, 2015
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Leon (2-3) was rolled over on the road by second ranked Naron (4-6) 96-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Naron. Leon was better in third quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot 62.1 percent from the field. They outrebounded Leon 43-27 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naron looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Leon's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Naron made 7 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Dylan Sparkman (208, college: Ill.-Springfield, agency: Dynamics Global Management) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Brantley Osborne (193-91, college: Shepherd) chipped in 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Osborne is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side forward Wykevin Bazemore (193-93, college: Winston Salem) responded with 31 points and 7 rebounds and forward Trevor Berkeley (198-92, college: Drake) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Naron went down to third position (Group A-B) due to points difference. Loser Leon dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Naron will face league's second-placed Linense in La Linea in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Leon will play at home against Chantada (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
