Regular Season Round 15: Colo Colo - Tinguiririca S.F. 82-84

A very interesting game took place in Santiago. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 11th ranked Colo Colo (5-8) to fourth ranked Tinguiririca S.F. (7-7) 84-82 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Colo Colo was ahead by 13 points at the halftime before a 31-11 third quarter run of Tinguiririca S.F.. It was a great shooting night for Tinguiririca S.F. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Franco Morales (179-92) who scored 24 points. The former international guard Eduardo Sepulveda (186-86) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Four Tinguiririca S.F. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward John A. Thomas (198-82, college: Columbus St.) who recorded 29 points and 7 rebounds and guard Fernando Schuler (189-91) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Tinguiririca S.F. maintains fourth place with 7-7 record, which they share with CD Valdivia and CDE Talca. Colo Colo lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. Tinguiririca S.F.'s next round opponent will be Puente Alto (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Colo Colo will play against Espanol de Talca and hope to win that game.
