No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked IF Air Europa (5-4) won against on the road bottom-ranked Barcelona (0-9) 74-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by IF Air Europa. Barcelona was better in third quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Barcelona to just 7 points in second quarter. Swingman Maria Espana (180-92) stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Montenegrin guard Aleksandra Vujovic (184-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. IF Air Europa will face higher ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (#3) in Madrid in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Barcelona will play on the road against Andratx (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
