We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Villaviciosa where 12th ranked Real Madrid II (2-5) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Casvi (2-5) 65-61 on Saturday. Casvi forced 24 Real Madrid II turnovers. Strangely Real Madrid II outrebounded Casvi 41-25 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Alejandro Fortes (201-90) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Hector Jimenez (183-94) chipped in 8 points during the contest. At the losing side Brazilian center Felipe Dos Anjos (218-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and FYR Macedonian forward Dino Radoncic (197-99) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Casvi moved-up to ninth place in Group B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Real Madrid II. Real Madrid II lost fourth consecutive game. Casvi will face higher ranked Alcobendas (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
