An interesting game took place in Rouen where higher ranked Strasbourg IG (5-4) was upset on the court of sixteenth ranked SPO Rouen (3-7) 88-79 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-18. But Strasbourg IG won second period 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guerschon Yabusele (201-95, agency: Comsport) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American Ronald Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 21 points. Five SPO Rouen players scored in double figures. Strasbourg IG's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SPO Rouen moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Paris-Levallois. Strasbourg IG lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Nanterre and Orleans. SPO Rouen will meet Sluc Nancy (#17) on the road in the next round. Strasbourg IG will play against Cholet Basket (#16) and hope to secure a win.
