At the losing side Gianni Terrosi (191-89) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Michele Bei (200-90) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Viterbo SA moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Bergamo and Crema. Loser Empoli dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Viterbo SA will face Catanzaro (#7) on the road in the next round. Empoli will play against the league's leader Napoli Basket and hope to win that game.
