Regular Season Round 11: Berck - Lourdes 82-72

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (7-3) against fourteenth ranked Berck (4-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Lourdes-Tarbes was defeated by Berck in Berck 82-72. The game was mostly controlled by Berck. Lourdes-Tarbes managed to win third quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Berck looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Lourdes-Tarbes' players. It was a great evening for American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Samir Mekdad (188-86) helped adding 7 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Jamaican forward Ricardo Alliman (201-87, college: Cedarville) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and forward Florian Lesca (198-89) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Berck moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Lourdes-Tarbes keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Maurienne. Berck will meet league's second-placed Rueil on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against Angers BC and hope to secure a win.
