Regular Season Round 19: Iwate Big Bulls - Akita NH 83-78

The game between second ranked Akita Happinets (10-5) and sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (10-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Akita Happinets were defeated by Iwate Big Bulls in a tough game in Iwate 78-83. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Akita Happinets. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) fired 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. American swingman Richard Roby (198-85, agency: CGL Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Ray Turner (206-90, college: Texas A&M) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Akita Happinets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Iwate Big Bulls maintains sixth place with 10-7 record, which they share with Osaka Evessa. Akita Happinets at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Shiga L-Stars and Fukushima. Iwate Big Bulls is again looking forward to face higher ranked Akita Happinets (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Akita Happinets will have a break next round.
