Regular Season Round 10: Roma S.Azzurra - Palermo 49-82

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Roma S.Azzurra (2-8) was outplayed at home by fifth ranked Palermo (7-3) 82-49 on Saturday. Palermo shot 62.8 percent from the field and had 24 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Roma S.Azzurra only scored eight points from the stripe. Roma S.Azzurra was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Nelson Rizzitiello (198-84) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Emanuele Urbani (205-93) chipped in 18 points during the contest. At the losing side Mattia Da Campo (197-97) responded with 7 points and 7 rebounds and forward Scott Ulaneo (200-98) scored 11 points. Roma S.Azzurra's coach Mario D'Arcangeli gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Palermo moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Bergamo and Crema. Loser Roma S.Azzurra dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Palermo will face Roma Luiss (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Roma S.Azzurra's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Roma to the arena Palestrina.
