Regular Season Round 8: Albino - Pordenone 70-63

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Albino (6-2) beat at home 6th ranked Pordenone (5-4) 70-63 on Saturday. Albino held Pordenone to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian center Gordana Bedalov (191-84, college: FIU) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) who added 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Albino players scored in double figures. Albino's coach Michele Pasqua used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Israeli Elena Castello (182-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Anna Togliani (168-98) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Albino maintains third position in A2 with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Ferrara. Newly promoted Pordenone keeps the sixth place with four games lost. Albino will face San Salvatore (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Pordenone will play against Scrivia and hope to win that game.
