Regular Season Round 11: Vitre - GET Vosges 66-74

Date: November 28, 2015
Very expected game when 16th ranked Vitre (2-8) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked GET Vosges (6-4) 74-66 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-12. But Vitre won second period 12-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian guard Nemanja Marinkovic (187-88) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Four GET Vosges players scored in double figures. American Wilbert Brown (199-84, college: Niagara) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Tom Foucault (189-94) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. GET Vosges moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Vitre lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventeenth position with eight games lost. GET Vosges will face higher ranked Aix-Maurienne (#4) in Aix-les-Bains in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vitre will play on the road against Quimper UJAP (#14) and hope to win that game.
