Regular Season Round 15: Niigata R. - Haneda Vickies 57-70

Haneda Vickies has finally registered their first victory this season after 14 consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Tokyo, where they defeated Niigata R. (0-15) 70-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Haneda Vickies. Niigata R. managed to win third quarter 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) who scored 28 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Yuki Morimoto (177-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Haneda Vickies' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Mei Chi (175-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds and forward Inoue Ai (172-90) added 15 points respectively. Haneda Vickies (1-14) left bottom position moving up to ninth place. It was Niigata R.'s fifteenth loss in a row. They still close the standings with 15 games lost. Haneda Vickies will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Niigata R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face again at home their local rival from Tokyo Haneda Vickies.
