Regular Season Round 8: Di Lupari - Parma 73-59
Date: November 29, 2015
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Parma (3-5) lost to fifth ranked Di Lupari (5-3) in San Martino di L 59-73. The game was mostly controlled by Di Lupari. Parma was better in second period 12-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Parma to just 7 points in third quarter. Di Lupari dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Parma's 28. Di Lupari forced 20 Parma turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Jasmine Bailey (172-90, college: Ill.-Chicago) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds and Romanian Florina Pascalau (193-82) who added 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Di Lupari players scored in double figures. American guard Christine Clark (173-92, college: Harvard, agency: LBM Management) responded with 20 points and Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Di Lupari maintains fifth position with 5-3 record, which they share with Umbertide. Parma lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Di Lupari will play against league's second-placed Lucca on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
