We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Malaga where 7th ranked Cazorla (1-5) was edged by eighth ranked Novaschool (1-5) 71-68 on Sunday. Novaschool forced 22 Cazorla turnovers. Cazorla was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Anastasio Vazquez (204-92) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Mario Hernandez (180-95) chipped in 15 points during the contest. At the losing side Senegalese center Mouhamadou Diop (212-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 18 rebounds and 8 blocks and forward Pedro Farina (198-92, college: South Plains JC) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Novaschool left bottom position moving up to seventh place in Group D-East, which they share with defeated Cazorla. Novaschool will face league's leader Coin on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
