Regular Season Round 11: Shanghai S. - Jiangsu TX 110-103

Date: November 29, 2015
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Shanghai Sharks and 10th ranked Jiangsu TX had identical 5-5 record. This time Shanghai Sharks used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Jiangsu 110-103 on Sunday night. Jiangsu TX trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 32-27 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 103-110 at the end of the game. Jiangsu TX was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American point guard A.J. Price (188-86, college: Connecticut) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import power forward Bernard James (208-85, college: Florida St.) helped adding 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) scored 31 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shanghai Sharks (6-5) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Shandong FB. Loser Jiangsu TX dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Shanghai Sharks will face league's second-placed Guandong Tigers in Dongguan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jiangsu TX will play on the road against Bayi Rockets (#17) in Ningbo and hope to win that game.
