Very predictable result when eighth ranked Vicenza (5-5) defeated at home 16th ranked Battaglia (1-9) 85-79 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Vicenza outrebounded Battaglia 41-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Swingman Gianluca Valesin (193-92) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Giulio Colamarino (189-91) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Fabio Grugnetti (171-87) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Five Vicenza and four Battaglia players scored in double figures. Vicenza moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Varese Coels. Battaglia lost fifth consecutive game.
