Regular Season Round 9: AZS AWF M. II - AZS AGH Alstom 66-75

There was no surprise when 11th ranked AZS AWF M. II (2-6) lost to second ranked AZS AGH Alstom (8-1) in Katowice 66-75 on Sunday. AZS AGH Alstom forced 33 AZS AWF M. II turnovers. It was a good game for guard Jakub Krawczyk (191-91) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 assists. Guard Robert Kolka (184-93) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Power forward Mateusz Migala (202-94) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Dawid Kolakowski (207-93) added 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for AZS AWF M. II. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for AZS AGH Alstom. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser AZS AWF M. II dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. AZS AGH Alstom will face Pogon RS (#6) in Ruda Slaska in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. AZS AWF M. II will play on the road against MKS DG 2 in Dabrowa Gornicza and hope to win that game.
