No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Senigallia (5-5) won against at home 15th ranked Valmontone (2-8) 83-78 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Valmontone was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Mirco Pierantoni (200-81) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Marco Gnaccarini (185-81) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman Dario Scodavolpe (193-83) responded with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Antonio De Fabritiis (189-90) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four Valmontone players scored in double figures. Senigallia moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Varese Coels. Newly promoted Valmontone dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Senigallia will face league's leader Falconara on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Valmontone will play against Martina Franca (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
