Regular Season Round 10: FoKoPo - Jarvenpaa 104-100

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Forssan Koripojat (8-2) beat at home 5th ranked Jarvenpaa (3-5) 104-100 on Sunday. Jarvenpaa was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 10-point lead after three quarters before a 33-23 charge of Forssan Koripojat, which allowed them to win the game. Jarvenpaa was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American point guard Ramon Nelson (175-90, college: USC Aiken) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Guard Henri Niemisto (195-96) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) replied with 27 points and 8 rebounds and guard Henri Kantonen (188-97) added 28 points in the effort for Jarvenpaa. Five Forssan Koripojat and four Jarvenpaa players scored in double figures. Forssan Koripojat maintains second position in Division with 8-2 record behind leader UU-Korihait. Loser Jarvenpaa keeps the fifth place with five games lost. Forssan Koripojat will face HoNsU Basket (#4) in Jyvaskyla in the next round. Jarvenpaa will play at home against HBA-Marsky and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
