The game in Bereldange supposed to be also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Sparta (5-6) played at the court of seventh ranked Residence (4-7). Residence smashed Sparta 95-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sparta. The game was mostly controlled by Residence. Sparta was better in fourth quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Residence dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Sparta's 44. They outrebounded Sparta 41-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for British-Nigerian Oladapo Ayuba (198-86, college: UMKC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) helped adding 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Residence players scored in double figures. American power forward Rashad Hassan (203-89, college: Savannah St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard Kevin Anderson (188-88, college: Richmond) scored 21 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Residence maintains seventh place with 4-7 record. Sparta at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Residence will play against higher ranked Basket Esch (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sparta will play against Contern and hopes to get back on the winning track.
