Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Scauri (4-6) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Cassino (8-2) 99-94 on Sunday. Cassino made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Scauri was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Luca Ianes (203-80, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (198-80, agency: Players Group) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side naturalized Argentinian point guard Dante Richotti (180-85) responded with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Five Cassino and four Scauri players scored in double figures. Cassino moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Milano Urania. Newly promoted Scauri keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Cassino will face league's second-placed Roma E-basket on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Scauri will play against Fondi (#13) and hope to win that game.
