Regular Season Round 10: AZS UMCS - Wisla Krakow 44-50

BLK top team - Wisla Krakow (9-1) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked AZS UMCS (6-4) in Lublin 50-44. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 50-44. Wisla Krakow dominated on the defensive end, holding AZS UMCS to just 6 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Devereaux Peters (187-89, college: Notre Dame) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. Spanish point guard Cristina Ouvina (173-90) contributed with 4 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American guard Jhasmin Player (178-87, college: Baylor, agency: Merit Management Group) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and her fellow American import power forward Destiny Williams (185-91, college: Baylor) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for AZS UMCS. Wisla Krakow have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-1 record. AZS UMCS lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with four games lost. Wisla Krakow are looking forward to face Artego Bydg. (#3) in Bydgoszcz in the next round, which may be the game of the day. AZS UMCS will play at home against MUKS Poznan and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
