Regular Season Round 10: Cadi La Seu - Gipuzkoa UPV 81-56

There was no surprise in Seu D'urgell where 10th ranked Gipuzkoa UPV (3-7) was crushed by eighth ranked Cadi La Seu (5-5) 81-56 on Sunday. Cadi La Seu made 26-of-27 free shots (96.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 32 Gipuzkoa UPV turnovers. The former international forward Tamara Abalde (190-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 18 points to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tania Perez (183-91, agency: Regeneracom Sports) chipped in 11 points (made all of her seven free throws) during the contest. At the losing side American center Cierra Bravard (193-89, college: Florida St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Oumoul Sarr (185-84) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cadi La Seu moved-up to seventh place. Gipuzkoa UPV at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Gran Canaria and Zamarat. Cadi La Seu will meet at home Campus Promete (#10) in the next round. Gipuzkoa UPV will play against Gernika and hope to secure a win.
