Denso Iris (10-4) outlasted Chanson V-M (12-2) in overtime by two points 61-59 on Sunday night. The game took place in Shizuoka. But the guests from Kariya were better at the end. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Chanson V-M. The guests trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game in overtime by 2 points. Denso Iris made 31-of-32 free shots (96.9 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 23 long-distance shots on high 59.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and international guard Minami Iju (168-90) who added 19 points during the contest. At the losing side international forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Minaho Minamiminoru (167-93) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. Denso Iris maintains fifth position with 10-4 record. Chanson V-M at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Denso Iris will face higher ranked Fujitsu RW (#3) in Kawasaki in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chanson V-M will play at home against the league's leader JX-Eneos S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
