Regular Season Round 10: Udine APU - Desio 70-43

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Desio (4-6) was rolled over on the road by second ranked Udine APU (9-1) 70-43 on Sunday. Udine APU forced 19 Desio turnovers and outrebounded them 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. The former international power forward Joel Zacchetti (209-82) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Manuel Vanuzzo (203-75) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Filippo Politi (205-80) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Daniele Quartieri (195-87, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Udine APU maintains second position in B with 9-1 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Falconara. Loser Desio dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. Udine APU will face Varese Coels. (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Desio will play against Moncalieri and hope to win that game.
