Very expected game when 15th ranked VL Pesaro (2-7) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Vanoli Cremona (6-3) 86-74 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Vanoli Cremona. VL Pesaro managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St.) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Marco Cusin (211-85, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four Vanoli Cremona players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Shaquielle McKissic (196-90, college: Arizona St.) who recorded 24 points and the other American import guard Semaj Christon (190-92, college: Xavier) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vanoli Cremona have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser VL Pesaro dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Auxilium TO. Vanoli Cremona will meet at home O.Lavoro BO (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. VL Pesaro will play against Juvecaserta (#13) in Caserta and hope to secure a win.
