Very important is a road loss of third ranked ASA Jerusalem (2-2) against fourth ranked Ramat Hasharon (3-2) on Monday night. Visiting ASA Jerusalem was defeated by Ramat Hasharon in Hasharon 77-65. Ramat Hasharon forced 19 ASA Jerusalem turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Emma Cannon (187-89, college: Cent.Florida, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and swingman Anne Marie Armstrong (191-91, college: Georgia, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Center Shamela Hampton (191-87, college: UNLV) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and guard Brianna Kiesel (170-93, college: Pittsburgh) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ramat Hasharon. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod. Loser ASA Jerusalem dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Ramat Hasharon will meet at home Maccabi Ashdod (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. ASA Jerusalem will play against the league's leader Maccabi Ramat Hen and hope to secure a win.
