The game in Aldeota was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Flamengo (4-2) played at the court of 8th ranked SKY/Basquete (2-5). Flamengo did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 85-67 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Flamengo. SKY/Basquete was better in fourth quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Flamengo looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a very good performance for the former international Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. International point guard Rafael Freire Luz (188-92) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Flamengo players scored in double figures. The former international guard Eduardo Machado (193-82) answered with 17 points and the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for SKY/Basquete. SKY/Basquete's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Mogi and Franca. SKY/Basquete lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Flamengo will face Universo/Vitoria (#7) in Salvador in the next round. SKY/Basquete will play at home against Macae and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
