Regular Season Round 4: Al Rayyan - Qatar 86-57
Date: December 1, 2015
Top-ranked Al Rayyan blasted bottom-ranked Qatar Sports Club (0-3) in Doha 86-57 keeping the perfect record after 4 rounds. Qatar Sports Club is still unable to win any game. The game was mostly controlled by Al Rayyan. Qatar Sports Club was better in third quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Al Rayyan players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by center Kwame Alexander (201-90, college: CS San Bernar.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Dominic James (180-86, college: Marquette) supported him with 21 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Four Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 19 points and 18 rebounds by power forward Malcolm White (205-88, college: LSU) did not help to save the game for Qatar Sports Club. Swingman Rashad Woods (197-86, college: Kent St.) added 8 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al Rayyan have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion (3-0) moved-up to second place. Qatar Sports Club at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Al Rayyan's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Arabi.
