Regular Season Round 7: Poitiers - St Chamond 79-84

No shocking result in a game when fourteenth ranked Saint Chamond (3-3) won against on the road 17th ranked Poitiers (2-5) 84-79 on Tuesday. Saint Chamond made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Strangely Poitiers outrebounded Saint Chamond 43-29 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Poitiers was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Dustin Salisbery (193-84, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points. Power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) helped adding 13 points and 5 rebounds. Saint Chamond's coach Alain Thinet used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and Pierre-Yves Guillard (201-84) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Saint Chamond moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Souffel. Loser Poitiers dropped to the sixteenth position with five games lost. Saint Chamond will face Orchesien BC (#15) in Orchies in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Poitiers will play on the road against Nantes and hope to win that game.
