Regular Season Round 12: Shandong FB - DongGuan L. 102-95

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Jinan where ninth ranked Shandong Bulls (7-5) defeated 8th ranked DongGuan Leopards (6-5) 102-95 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 59-51 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Shandong Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to DongGuan Leopards' 34. The best player for the winners was American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. Five Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) who recorded 42 points (!!!) and 4 assists and his fellow American import Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St., agency: Priority Sports) added 9 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shandong Bulls moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Beijing Ducks and Zhejiang CB. Loser DongGuan Leopards dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Shandong Bulls will face Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#7) in Hangzhou in the next round. DongGuan Leopards will play on the road against Sichuan BW and hope to win that game.
