We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Changchun where 18th ranked Jilin Tigers (3-9) were defeated by nineteenth ranked Foshan (2-10) 109-104 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 59-52 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Jilin Tigers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Mingxin Ju (200-93) chipped in 23 points. Foshan's coach Dean Murray used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds and American swingman Marcus Williams (200-86, college: Arizona, agency: Interperformances) added 26 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Foshan maintains nineteenth position with 2-10 record. Jilin Tigers lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth place with nine games lost. Foshan will face higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#4) in Yingkou in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
