Regular Season Round 12: KFUM Central - KFUM Uppsala 69-75

Very important is a home loss of third ranked KFUM Central (7-3) against fourth ranked KFUM Uppsala (7-2) on Wednesday night. Host KFUM Central was defeated by KFUM Uppsala in a tough game in Stockholm 69-75. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KFUM Central won third quarter 16-5. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by swingman Anes Zekovic (195-95) who scored that evening 18 points and guard Lukas Friberg (190-95) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four KFUM Uppsala players scored in double figures. KFUM Uppsala's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by Arnold Calle did not help to save the game for KFUM Central. Guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) added 15 points. KFUM Uppsala have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with IK Eos. Newly promoted KFUM Central dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
