Very important is a home loss of second ranked Sundsvall Dragons (8-4) against fourth ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (8-3) on Thursday night. Host Sundsvall Dragons were crushed by Norrkoping Dolphins in Sundsvall 76-56. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sundsvall Dragons. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Norrkoping Dolphins led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Mikael Lindquist (193-83) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) accounted for 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach Adnan Chuk allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Icelandic power forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and the former international point guard Charles Barton (193-92, college: Oregon St.) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for Sundsvall Dragons in the defeat. Norrkoping Dolphins have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Sundsvall Dragons at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sundsvall Dragons will play on the road against Boras Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
