Date: December 3, 2015
The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Macae's (1-6) road loss to ninth ranked SKY/Basquete (3-5) in Aldeota 64-88 on Thursday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when SKY/Basquete's pressure prevailed and they won that period 30-10 extending their advantage to 24 points. The former international forward Marcus Vinicius Toledo (201-86) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Rashaun McLemore (193-86, college: CS Northridge) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four SKY/Basquete players scored in double figures. American point guard Caleb Brown (183-89, college: Austin Peay St.) replied with 19 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and power forward Anderson Mosso (205-82, college: Chipola JC) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Macae. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SKY/Basquete moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Universo/Vitoria. Macae lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. SKY/Basquete will face bottom-ranked Rio Claro (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Macae will play against Pinheiros (#3) and hope to win that game.
