Regular Season Round 24: Libertad S. - Lanus 82-88
Date: December 3, 2015
There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Lanus (5-14) beat on the road second-best Libertad Sunchales (13-7) 88-82 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 32-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Lanus especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA, agency: Interperformances) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Millsap is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Lanus' coach German Intonio used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 18 rebounds and Marcos Saglietti (190-86) scored 15 points. Four Lanus and five Libertad Sunchales players scored in double figures. Lanus maintains ninth position with 5-14 record. Loser Libertad Sunchales keeps the second place with seven games lost. Lanus will face higher ranked Sionista (#6) in Parana in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
