No shocking result in a game when second ranked Perth Wildcats (10-5) defeated at home 5th ranked Adelaide 36ers (7-8) 90-72. The game without a history. Perth Wildcats led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-32 charity shots (78.1 percent) during the game. Perth Wildcats outrebounded Adelaide 36ers 43-26 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international power forward Matthew Knight (204-85, college: Loyola Mary) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American forward Casey Prather (196-91, college: Florida) accounted for 23 points. Four Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Anthony Petrie (203-83) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and American-Ukrainian point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) added 18 points respectively for Adelaide 36ers in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Perth Wildcats maintains second place with 10-5 record behind leader United. Adelaide 36ers at the other side keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Perth Wildcats' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Kings (#8) in Sydney which should be theoretically an easy game. Adelaide 36ers will play at home against Townsville Crocodiles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
