Everything went according to plan when third ranked Shiga L-Stars (13-5) defeated on the road 12th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-18) 73-63 on Friday. Tokyo Cinq R. was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Shiga L-Stars forced 20 Tokyo Cinq R. turnovers. It was a good game for Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks and guard Kodai Takahashi (180-91) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Shiga L-Stars. They maintain third place with 13-5 record having just two points less than leader Sendai 89ers. Tokyo Cinq R. lost their thirteenth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
