Regular Season Round 7: Hyeres-Toulon - Denain 86-53

Very predictable result when third ranked Hyeres-Toulon (5-1) smashed at home 12th ranked Denain Voltaire (3-4) 86-53 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 57-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hyeres-Toulon forced 21 Denain Voltaire turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Hyeres-Toulon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for William Howard (201-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Maurice Acker (176-87, college: Marquette, agency: HMS) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. Four Hyeres-Toulon players scored in double figures. Coach Kyle Milling's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side power forward Yannis Morin (208-93) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and forward Jeremy Ricard (200-94) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Hyeres-Toulon have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Evreux. Loser Denain Voltaire dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. Hyeres-Toulon will face league's leader ALM Evreux on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Denain Voltaire will play against SO Maritime Boulogne (#5) and hope to win that game.
