An interesting game for Bendigo Spirit (9-5) which played road game in Townsville against 3rd placed Townsville Fire (7-4). Second ranked Bendigo Spirit had an easy win 84-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Townsville Fire. It looked good early as Townsville Fire took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Bendigo Spirit had a 21-10 second period charge getting the lead and Townsville Fire was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-84. Bendigo Spirit's next round opponent will be Boomers (#7) in Melbourne which should be theoretically an easy game. Townsville Fire will play on the road against Sydney Uni Flames and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
